- 1 cup cornmeal

- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs

Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan or cast-iron skillet.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and melted butter or oil.
- Combine everything: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined (do not overmix).
- Pour and bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool and serve: Let it cool slightly. Serve warm with butter, honey, or chili.
