🍛 Rich and Creamy Butter Chicken Curry Recipe
🧂 Ingredients:
For the Chicken Marinade:
- 500g boneless chicken (preferably thighs)
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
For the Gravy:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 large onion (chopped)
- 2 tomatoes (pureed)
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/4 cup fresh cream
- 1 tbsp cashew paste (optional for richness)
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander (for garnish)
🔥 Cooking Method:
1. Marinate the Chicken:
- Mix all marinade ingredients and coat chicken well.
- Let it marinate for 1 hour minimum or overnight for best results.
2. Cook the Chicken:
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and grill or sauté the marinated chicken pieces until browned and fully cooked.
- Set aside.
3. Make the Butter Gravy:
- In the same pan, heat butter and a bit of oil.
- Sauté onions until golden.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until fragrant.
- Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin powder, salt, and garam masala.
- Add cashew paste if using and mix well.
4. Finish the Curry:
- Add cooked chicken into the gravy and simmer for 8–10 minutes.
- Pour in cream and mix gently.
- Simmer for 2–3 more minutes and garnish with coriander.

Serve hot with naan, roti, or steamed basmati rice for a delicious, creamy meal.
