Ingredients

  • ¾ cup 170g unsalted butter
  • 8 oz 225g dark chocolate, chopped
  • cups 300g sugar
  • 3 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup 125g all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup 50g cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 9x13 pan with parchment paper.
  • Melt butter and chocolate together over low heat. Stir until smooth. Cool 5 minutes.
  • Stir sugar into chocolate mixture.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Add vanilla.
  • Mix flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder in separate bowl.
  • Fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined. Don't overmix.
  • Pour into pan. Add chocolate chips on top if using.
  • Bake 25-30 minutes until toothpick has moist crumbs.
  • Cool completely (2 hours) before cutting.
