- ¾ cup 170g unsalted butter
- 8 oz 225g dark chocolate, chopped
- 1½ cups 300g sugar
- 3 large eggs room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup 125g all-purpose flour
- ½ cup 50g cocoa powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips optional
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 9x13 pan with parchment paper.
Melt butter and chocolate together over low heat. Stir until smooth. Cool 5 minutes.
Stir sugar into chocolate mixture.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Add vanilla.
Mix flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder in separate bowl.
Fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined. Don't overmix.
Pour into pan. Add chocolate chips on top if using.
Bake 25-30 minutes until toothpick has moist crumbs.
Cool completely (2 hours) before cutting.
